Prized for their cool and refreshing coconut water, green coconuts are the pre-ripened, younger sibling of the more familiar-looking brown and hairy coconut. During the ripening process, the outside of the coconut darkens. As the coconut ripens, its inside turns from water to coconut meat.
Chill in the fridge for at least two hours if you would like the coconut water to be nice and cold!
Coconuts can be shaven down ready for you to cut open (on request). If you buy a box of coconuts and would like them shaven please add to your basket ‘shave my coconuts’ which is an additional one off fee of £6.
