Globe artichokes contain a flavoursome and meaty heart underneath layers of greenery. Technically a flower, globe artichokes can be daunting at first if you haven't cooked them before, but they are simple to cook with and absolutely delicious.
Perfect for antipasti or salads, simply strip the outer layer of the flower, remove the stalk and boil.
