Fresh St Lucian | Jamaican Julie Mango

Julie Mango – The St. Julian or Julie, for short, is well-loved among Jamaicans for its rich flavour and great texture. It’s not very colourful, but runs from green to a reddish-orange tinge when ripe. The shape is distinctive – round, with a flattish side. It is best eaten when just shy of ripe as the flesh becomes runny or ‘blobsy’ when overripe. The Julie is among the juiciest mangoes.

- To ensure a longer ripening period, we aim to send greener mangoes. However, if only ripe mangoes are available, we will send those that will still have enough time to travel and be consumed, arriving either ready or nearly ready to eat.

- Ensure your mango is ripe before consuming. The Julie mango is best enjoyed fresh out of hand but can also be used in desserts, confectionery, and juices.

Storage:
- Store mangoes at room temperature until they ripen.
- Once ripened, refrigerate to maintain freshness.
