The sea bream refers to a narrow, deep bodied freshwater panfish that includes several species. Nationally, the predominant sea bream is known as brim, sunfish, panfish, or bream.

The common snapper is actually a member of the sea bream family, although the name snapper has been retained because of the species' historical use. Sea Bream fishes are mainly wild caught estuary fish, but are also found in inshore coastal waters.

Red sea bream can be recognized by its thin oval body and high lateral line. The Sea bream has a crimson back, orange/gold flanks, a silvery-orange belly, and also has particularly large eyes. The sea bream has a single long dorsal fin with 12 sharp short spines, a small anal fin and a forked tail.

Storage

For immediate consumption please store in the fridge until completely defrosted, then cook it the preferred way. For future consumption please keep in the freezer.
